Well, I for one, love to read. I would also love to take reading to the next level with a little discussion. I have a few things in mind for this book club: 1) Read some stuff. Obvs. 2) Use some brain power to think and discuss. 3) Meet other Portland women in my age range (early 30s). 4) Have a nice evening once a month despite rain clouds. 5) Maybe have a glass of wine/beer? This is a general interest bookclub with individual members selecting the reading on an alternating basis.  We welcome all adult generations and enjoy hearing the mix of views from young to old.  Currently we have more women than men, but we hope more men will feel that it is a group they, too, can enjoy.  We meet at New Seasons Market (Cafe, with cozy fireplace) at Progress Ridge Townsquare in Beaverton/Tigard, corner of SW Horizon Blvd. and SW Barrows Rd at 7:00 p.m.

This is a private book group that meets the first Thursday of every month. Membership is by invitation only and is comprised of a group of friends who live in the Parkrose Community. Membership is NOT open to the public.  We are currently full and not accepting new members.

As a women, I feel it is a privilege to be able to create a warm, safe and entertaining enviornment for my husband, my family and my friends. I found a wonder tool that helps me stay on track and it is a book called "Simple Abundance" by Sarah Ban Breathnach. It suggests how daily life can be an expression of your authentic self...which I think is the most honest way a women can live her life. There are others book clubs around but they are already full or well established. I would like to have just 10-12 ladies that want to share with others the books they enjoy. We will start of in a mutually chosen spot . After we will each host the meetup. She will pick the location, the book and 'run' the meetup. I am looking for women who love to read and share the story with others. Who want to be in a book club, and don't feel they fit in any of the other groups.
